3B Construction – Our History

 

In 1983, Don Bodiford started 3B Dozer, an earth-moving company serving the agribusiness industry. News of good work gets around fast, though, and soon the firm was expanding into commercial projects throughout the southwestern United States. 3B Dozer became known for their civil engineering work, road infrastructure and site preparation.

 

New Markets in Solar and Energy

 

Clarence Bodiford later took over the firm from his father, running it with the same passion and enthusiasm. The reputation of the company caught the attention of firms in solar plant construction and wind power plant construction, where they have worked on projects as large as 2,000 acres.

 

New Branding, More Capabilities

 

In 2021 the firm rebranded as 3B Construction to reflect their expanding list of services, including general contractor expertise, infrastructure development, welding, piping, maintenance of power plants, fiber-optic cable installation and repair, road building and maintenance, erosion control, dust suppression and other services. The firm also maintains its core capabilities in rock and gravel hauling, rock crushing, and cement recycling. 3B Construction has grown to more than 200 employees and has expanded management to better address their markets they serve.

 

Infrastructure Projects Throughout the United States

Today 3B Construction works throughout the continental United States. You can find their project managers in such diverse industries as solar farms, wind power plants, dams and reservoirs, power generation, steel mills and much more. 3B Construction works on both start-up projects as well as expansion and infrastructure maintenance of existing facilities. 3B Construction has key alliances with some of the major firms involved in the development of solar farm construction and other forms of power generation. They are also an approved vendor for TexDot, the Texas Department of Transportation.
